Dialogue - The parts people are speaking.Dual Dialogue - When two people are talking at the same time.
Parenthetical - a direction of how to read the script for example:
-Sarcastic
-Loud
-Quite
-Fast
-Slow
Extension -the technical indication about character dialogue which is situated right of the characters name. For example:
-O.N on screen
-O.S off screen
-V.O voice over
Transitions - The way one shot flows into another, don't add in too many as they do not affect the script and may need to be changed when editing. Transitions included are:
-Cut to
-Fade out
-Wipe out
-Dissolve
-Pull back
Character Name - name of the character
Scene Heading - the title of the scene When introducing a new scene you should include the scene name, then transition (if needed), then the extension followed by the time of day.
For example:
Ext - Park - Day
Int - Cafe - Continuing
Int - Boys House - Night
Action - What the characters should be doing, should be short and briefExterior = outside = EXT
Interior = Inside = INT
